BREASTFEEDING SNACKS.
lactation cookies
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup softened butter
1/2 cup brown or coconut sugar
2 eggs
1 TBSP vanilla
1 TBSP flaxseed
1/4 cup Chia seeds
1/2 cup protein powder (my favorite linked here - code KATIEYOVIN)
2 TBSP brewers yeast
1.5 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder & 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
DIRECTIONS:
Cream butter, melted coconut oil, and brown sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer or large bowl with a hand mixer. Add in vanilla and eggs and blend. Combine dry ingredients (except any mix-ins) in a separate bowl. Fold into the wet ingredients until well-combined, then add your mix-ins. Bake for 8 minutes on 350 degrees.
NO BAKE LACTATION BITES
1 cup old fashioned oats
8-10 pitted dates
⅓ cup brewer’s yeast
½ cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
¼ cup milk of choice
¼ cup honey
⅓ cup dark chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
Add dates to a food processor and blend until a thick paste forms. Add in your oats and pulse a few more times until combined. Transfer your mixture to a bowl and add in remaining ingredients. Roll into balls and store in the fridge!
NOURISHING GREEN LACTATION SMOOTHIE
1 banana
1/2 cup berries of choice
handful of spinach
2 TBSP oats
1 TBSP almond butter
1 TBSP brewer’s yeast
1 TBSP flaxseed
1 scoop protein powder (my favorite linked here - code KATIEYOVIN)
1 cup water or milk of choice
handful of ice
DIRECTIONS:
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
